The new single by Mattias Phillips titled “First meeting” is now available. The song confirms the fact about the very first meeting with a loved one is usually a very positive memory. However, when we know how the story ends, even the most beautiful memories can evoke ambivalent feelings. “First meeting” is part of the album: “Provisions” -which will be available next December 11th-, all the tracks of this album are almost improvised, others are based on some ideas that came out while improvising. This track, for the composer have important role in his life. It was composed at a time when he was going through major life changes. Making this album helped him to deal with his changing emotions. In words of the own Phillips, the “art is meaningless if it is not embedded in the culture in which it arises. It is the same with my music – created in our culture and for the culture”.
